Pictures of my Tet trip Tubing in Vang Vieng
Pictures of me and my fellow teachers in Hanoi, Simone and Malcolm who I met in Vang Vieng and went tubing with :-) It was a great day with lots of beerLao drunk, free LaoLao and whisky too! Malcolm was brave and tried a couple of the wire jumps but I was too much of a wimp!
Laos and especially Vang Vieng is a lovely place and I definitely want to return soon.
They take you about 3 miles out of town on a tuk-tuk with your inner tube you get into the river with your bum in the middle of the tube and off you go. It is a bit chilly for a few seconds but you soon warm up and after about a 100 metres the first of the many beer stops comes and it would be churlish to refuse...
The pics are not quite up to normal standard as we took a disposable camera with us instead of the usual digicam.
Actually this was the third time I had done the tubing. The first time I did it with two beautiful young Swedish girls and a Japanese guy; the next time with Henrik and his gang who had arrived in Vang Vieng and really knew how to have a good, if fuelled time; then this time with Malcolm and Simone who also know how to have a great time.

It is great that U made to Vang Vieng! We loved that place just like all Laos (Luang Prabang rulez!!). It is one of those last untouched and laid back places globetrotters are craving for...
